Haka after our win!

Azlan Shah Cup Champions!!

After booking a spot in the final after a win vs Malaysia, our team took on Korea in our match before the final. We were resting a few players in this match so we could be at our best for the final. Korea scored in the last 30seconds to win 1-0.

Argentina won their last match to put them up against us for the final!

After beating Argentina comfortably in the round robin play, we struggled to take ownership of the game and instead found ourselves under pressure throughout the whole match. Outstanding goal keeping is what kept us in contention. Kyle Pontifex, our keeper, was named man of the match, goal keeper of the tournament and named in the tournament 11 team, which really shows what he did for our team. Andy Hayward scored the only goal of the match, a drag flick through the legs of the Argentinian keeper. Final score 1-0, to secure New Zealand's first ever Azlan Shah Cup victory in history!!
